All about the hotels
Both Leading Family Hotels have a smoking lounge. For the comfort of all guests, smoking is only permitted in this designated area. Smoking is not allowed anywhere else on the hotel grounds.
Unfortunately, Hotels Löwe & Bär do not offer early check-in or late check-out. However, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us at the hotel before your room is ready on arrival day.
Yes, a wide range of children’s equipment is available for you to use during your stay at Hotels Löwe & Bär. Please ask at reception for further details.

Yes. Our hotels are thoughtfully equipped for babies and toddlers. To help you travel with less luggage and enjoy a more relaxed stay, we provide a wide range of baby and toddler essentials, along with dedicated services.
These include:
- baby and toddler childcare at the baby club (Sunday to Friday, 8.30 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.)
- dedicated play areas for toddlers at the baby club
- toddler paddling pools at Hotel Löwe’s water park and Hotel Bär’s swimming paradise
- bathrobes for babies and children
- socket covers and baby monitors in all rooms and suites
- cots in all suites from 50 m²
- baby care sets with shampoo, care cream and wet wipes
- bottle warmers, kettles, changing mats and nappy bins

- “Baby Corner” and “Baby by Night” service with a microwave, HIPP jars, baby purées, baby food and boiled water

Both hotels also have a baby corner just outside the dining room. There, you’ll find baby purées, milk formula and everything you need for feeding, available around the clock. You are also welcome to use the entrance area of the baby club with its small ball pit at Hotel Bär.
Yes, four-legged family members are welcome at the Leading Family Hotels too. However, to protect other guests’ children and babies, dogs are not permitted in the hotel’s public areas.
These include, for example:

- sports hall
Your room will be available from 4.30 p.m. on arrival day. You are very welcome to arrive at the hotel earlier and leave your luggage with us.
On departure day, we kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11.00 a.m. and leave the hotel by 3.00 p.m. This allows us to prepare a smooth check-in for our next guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer late check-out.
Tip: To avoid longer waiting times on your departure day, we recommend preparing your check-out at reception the evening before.
As a guest of Leading Family Hotels Löwe & Bär, you can also use selected facilities and services at the respective partner hotel. These include:
- swimming areas at the partner hotel (Please note that capacities are limited and reservations are not possible. Reception will be happy to provide information on current availability. Locker keys are available directly at the partner hotel. Adults-only sauna areas are excluded due to limited capacity.)
- lunch, cake buffet and afternoon snacks
- sports hall at Hotel Bär
- ice rink at Hotel Bär (in winter)
- Kids’ Club for playing together with your own children (Please note that childcare at the partner hotel is unfortunately not possible due to limited capacity.)
During your stay, you can enjoy a wide range of included services for the whole family, among them all meals from our indulgent full-board package:
- regional and sustainable dishes prepared by our award-winning chefs
- supervised lunch and dinner for babies, children and teenagers
- generous breakfast buffet from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., with freshly prepared egg dishes, a wide selection of fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt, as well as regional bread and pastries
- lunch buffet from 12.00 p.m. to 1.30 p.m., with daily specialities, starters and a salad buffet
- afternoon cake (from 1.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.)
- afternoon snacks (from 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.)
- evening menu with a choice of up to 7 served courses, plus a large salad and cheese buffet (from 6.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.)
- children’s buffet with ice cream and healthy snacks available throughout the day
- chilled non-alcoholic drinks on tap, available around the clock
- special dishes for guests with food intolerances (coeliac disease, diabetes, lactose intolerance, etc.)
- baby corner and Baby-by-Night service with HIPP products for the youngest guests, available around the clock
- a variety of freshly prepared baby foods made daily by our kitchen team
- award-winning children’s catering in line with SIPCAN criteria – balanced, child-friendly and full of flavour
At breakfast, coffee specialities, tea and freshly squeezed juices are also served to your table.
In addition, you can enjoy selected chilled drinks free of charge from the drinks fountain. Alcoholic drinks are charged separately.

Both hotels are designed entirely with families in mind, creating the ideal setting for an enjoyable holiday with children. This includes professional childcare, family-friendly full board, swimming areas and a wide range of activities and facilities for guests of all ages.
While both hotels share many of the same strengths, each has its own distinct character. The 5-star Hotel Bär stands out with its modern atmosphere and special extras. The 4-star superior Hotel Löwe offers a warm, cosy and more traditional feel, combined with plenty of family comfort.

Hotel Bär is located in the charming village of Serfaus in Tyrol, just a short walk from Hotel Löwe. Thanks to its elevated position, you can enjoy particularly beautiful, open views of the Tyrolean mountains. Right on the doorstep, you’ll also find Murmlipark with its spacious 10,000 m² meadow – a wonderful place to play, explore and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air. Hotel Bär is situated north of the “Kirche” underground station and above the village meadow. This makes it easy to reach many central points in the village as well as the sister hotel on foot. Hotel Löwe is also located in the heart of Serfaus in Tyrol. It is situated south of the “Kirche” underground station, just a short walk from Hotel Bär. This means you can easily stroll from one Leading Family Hotel to the other during your stay. You’ll find information on how to get here on our website.
Food & drink
Yes, the tap water at the Leading Family Hotels is of drinking-water quality. It comes from natural springs on the Komperdell and is one of the most valuable resources in the Serfaus region. The water is especially soft, rich in minerals and subject to regular, strict quality checks.
Please let us know about any allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements when you arrive. You are also welcome to speak to our head chef in person to discuss whether individual requests can be accommodated. For adults, we offer a vegetarian option with every menu. Please note that we do not offer vegan menus.
Services & facilities
Yes. As a guest of Leading Family Hotels Löwe & Bär, you receive the Super.Sommer.Card. free of charge. It gives you access to numerous benefits and discounts throughout the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region, from use of the cable cars and hiking bus between Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis to admission to Serfaus Adventure World, Hög Adventure Park and Fiss Summer Funpark.
Guided hikes, Thomas Brezina’s Adventure Mountains and children’s entertainment at the Murmli Club Serfaus or Maxi-Club Fiss-Ladis are also included. You will receive the pick-up code for your Super.Sommer.Card. by email after booking.
Yes, EV charging stations are available at both Hotel Löwe and Hotel Bär. Charging is billed according to consumption at €0.69 per kW.
At Hotel Löwe, you can collect the EV charging chip from reception. Please then move your car from the car park to the charging station. Once charging is complete, return the chip to reception. The cost will be conveniently charged to your room account.
At Hotel Bär, the EV charging station is located directly in the underground car park. You can use it with your own RFID card.
Yes. Hotels Löwe & Bär each have dedicated spa and sauna areas for adults and young people aged 16 and over. These areas are textile-free and open daily from 11.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
At Hotel Löwe’s spa, you can enjoy a Finnish sauna, an organic clay sauna, a herbal steam bath, a rock ice grotto and a panoramic relaxation room. At Hotel Bär’s spa, you’ll find a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a laconium, a steam bath, an ice grotto, a whirlpool and two relaxation rooms.
Alternatively, you can also use our textile saunas:
- family sauna by the pool: 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
- Hotel Löwe’s Family Spa by the pool: 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
You are also welcome to use the spacious gyms at the Leading Family Hotels, equipped with modern Technogym® machines.
Yes. Flowers can be delivered to Hotel Bär on request. Please place your order at reception at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that delivery costs apply in addition to the price of the flowers.
Yes, ski tickets for the whole family can be purchased directly at reception. Alternatively, you can buy ski passes at the cable cars’ ticket offices or online.
If you would like to do laundry during your stay, a washing machine and dryer are available at each hotel. Laundry tokens can be purchased at reception and will be charged directly to your room account.

Useful information on Serfaus
Serfaus is a wonderful family destination at any time of year. In winter, the region is ideal for ski holidays and winter adventures with children. During the summer months, families can enjoy hiking, biking experiences and many other outdoor activities.
There is plenty to experience in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region all year round. In winter, skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and family-friendly snow adventures take centre stage. In summer, hiking trails, bike trails, climbing parks, adventure parks and many other enjoyable moments in the mountains await guests of all ages. Top-class events and cultural attractions add even more variety to your stay.

Even on rainy or snowy days, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis offers plenty of options for families. Museums, cosy cafés and wellness facilities in the region are especially popular. At Hotels Löwe & Bär, families will also find lots of ways to enjoy varied hours indoors, for instance at the pool areas or playrooms.
In summer, Serfaus offers a wonderful mix of nature, family adventures and excursion destinations. The region’s adventure and themed hiking trails, bike trails and many other mountain attractions are especially popular. Cultural sights, including museums, also invite you to discover a different side of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis away from the mountain adventures.
The Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area is exceptionally family-friendly and offers ideal conditions for a winter holiday with children. Highlights include child-friendly ski schools, lovingly designed children’s areas and plenty to enjoy away from the slopes. Families also benefit from the region’s excellent infrastructure, including the village underground in Serfaus and family-friendly places to eat.

The quickest way to reach the cable car station is by taking the village underground. The “Kirche” station is very close to the hotel. From there, you can travel comfortably to the final stop, “Seilbahn”. It’s an easy way to start your day on the slopes or head off on a hiking adventure.
There are several cash machines available in Serfaus. Raiffeisenbank Serfaus, for example, is located close to the hotels.

You can exchange cash at reception. Please note, however, that foreign currency exchange is not available. It is also not possible to withdraw cash via your hotel bill. Please use one of the cash machines in the village instead.
