Our conditions of cancellation:
Deposits are refunded in case of cancellation up to eight
weeks before the starting date of the holiday, less EUR 36,- per
booking (handling charge).
For cancellations registered less than 56 days before the start of the
holiday, we charge for the holiday as booked minus EUR 18,- per person
and day (cancellation charge). The same applies to later arrival or
earlier departure, regardless for what reason. If you take out our
holiday cancellation insurance you only pay a contribution of 20% of
the cancellation charges.
Legal venue in case of dispute is Landeck.
Please note that we can only accept cancellations in writing (fax/mail).
What is covered?
The insurance covers the following:
- Contractually agreed cancellation charges in accordance with our conditions in case of cancellation.
- Costs owed by the visitor for days booked if the holiday is
broken off before the agreed date and any additional services booked as
a package (before the booking) but not used such as ski pass, ski
school.
What must I do to make a claim? If the holiday is not taken up
The visitor informs the hotel as soon as possible of the reason why the holiday is being cancelled.
Important: If claiming sickness, you need a Doctor's Certificate. Without this, the cancellation fee cannot be refunded.
What is the cost for full cancellation cover?
We have agreed the following with the insurance companies as a special concession for Löwen and Bären visitors:
- EUR 60.- (Winter) or 25.- (Summer) per family for the first 7 days stay
- EUR 40.- (Winter) or 20.- (Summer) per family for each further 7 days at the hotel
Own contribution:
The guest must in any case pay an own contribution amounting to 20% of the cancellation costs.

It happens more often than you think: a holiday which has been booked
cannot be started at all or has to be broken off early. And then, to
add to the disappointment, along come cancellation fees, or it is not
possible to make use of services which have already been booked (hotels
or other service packages). We would like to spare you this financial

What is covered by the insureance?
A claim can be made if the traveller is unable to start or
continue his or her holiday due to one of the following reasons:
- Serious accident or unexpected serious illness of the insured,
his or her spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law or, if the journey
was booked for two people together, of the second person, provided that
he or she also took out insurance cover along with the deposit for the
holiday.
- Death of one of the persons listed above or death of a brother or
sister, grandparents, grandchildren or a related child of an insured
person.
- Sudden serious problems associated with pregnancy of one of the above persons.
- Allergic reaction to inoculation in one of the above persons.
- Unexpected recurrence or worsening of a chronic illness affecting the above persons.
- Significant damage to the property of the insured person at his
or her place of residence following fire, act of God or a criminal act
perpetrated by a third party, which necessitates his or her presence at
the scene.
Full risk or full cancellation cover? It's your choice!
For the sake of simplicity, your deposit includes the insurance premium.
- Each visitor can decide whether or not he wants to include cancellation cover for his stay at the Löwen or Bären.
